The Scarface video game creates a gameplay environment that authentically recreates the historical time period of the film, touching on politics, news items and events of the day. As Tony Montana (in an alternate-ending story concept that follows the events of the original movie classic), players will travel through the steamy, often violent streets of Miami, the irie islands of the Florida Keys, the Bahamas and various other locales and will interact with a world full of seedy and dangerous characters to procure information, negotiate business deals, smuggle contraband and avoid rivals and DEA on a mission to rebuild their fallen empire.

Battle Realms, the first product from Liquid Entertainment, has style in spades--everything about it is slick, and it's noteworthy for that reason alone, as well as for many others. It's a martial-arts-themed real-time strategy game featuring dozens of great-looking units from four unique factions, impressive graphical effects, and an innovative resource model. It has a polished, attractive presentation, an open-ended campaign, and several good multiplayer modes. Battle Realms does have a few gameplay issues that diminish some of its strategic appeal, as the action can prove to be difficult to manage. But it's still a very worthwhile experience despite these things and should provide many hours of enjoyment for all kinds of real-time strategy players.

Battle Realms follows the basic formula for many real-time strategy (RTS) games.
All of its factions have similar buildings
with similar uses and workers.
However, unlike in usual RTS games, the peasant worker unit is not just used for resource gathering and construction, but
also for training into military units at training buildings. Thus,
military buildings in Battle Realms are not used for making
units, but for transforming and upgrading them.

The expansion is set seven years before the events of the original game. The player assumes the control of the Wolf Clan as it struggles for freedom from the Lotus Clan. The expansion introduced new units, improved multiplayer interface and 12 single player missions.
